Lightweight "pajama" pants

I purchased these as easy summer weight pull-on pants for around the house. I had hoped to wear them casually to the store, etc. also, but they are SO light weight, flimsy, and crumpled that they need to be ironed (NOT going to happen!) for wearing in public :-( They do fit fine ...

Great for the money!

I ordered these in all three colors HOPING they would make passable everyday pants in this HOT summer climate - and I am thrilled with what I got. Because they have a tie waist, I deliberately bought them one size too large, and washed them in hot water and threw them in the drier to shrink them before shortening them (petite is still three inches too long for me!) They actually didn't shrink too terribly, and I just love their lightness. They are NOT crisp, hot, polyester office pants. They are casual, informal, relaxed, and COMFORTABLE. Cooler than knit, but just as comfy. I have no plans to iron them. (I do wear a lot of wrinkled flax and casual washed linen in this climate - night AND day) Actually, I like them so much that I ordered three more in the same colors...... in case these get worn out from wearing them every single day from morning to night for the entire six months of hot tropical summer. If I wanted to make them, I couldn't buy the fabric alone for this price ...if I could even find it. What they call black is actually a peppery gray - which makes them better for daytime anyway. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for informal, casual comfort. Just wish they had long sleeve scoop neck button front tops to match to throw over a sleeveless shell when I need to run out to the market. But it is an imperfect world, after all. Sigh.
