Sizes not true to fit

Ordered a 10, my usual size, seems more like a 14... looks much better in the picture or maybe it was just the fit that turned me off. At $54 I could find two pair of comparable pants that fit. Requested an exchange for a smaller size, but have to pay for the shipping. Requested a credit for the shipping costs, if not honored, I'll just return the item. Nice but beware, order a size smaller than you actually wear! I guess this is one of the cons of ordering from a designer online that you've never purchased from before!
